New SIMnet Content & Features
Lesson & SIMbook Gradebook Options – Freeze Grades after Due Date
The Freeze Grades after Due Date option is designed to allow students to continue to use their Lesson and SIMbook assignments as a study aid after the assignment has become past due. When a gradebook column is frozen the student’s grade will not improve even if the student continues to complete tasks in the Lesson or SIMbook. The new option is available from the assignment and column configuration view:
When a gradebook column option is set to freeze after the due date and the due date has passed a snowflake icon will display in the column header to indicate the grades will no longer automatically update.
Modifying the freeze grade setting and/or due date will automatically adjust all student scores in the column appropriately based on tasks they completed prior to the due date.
Gradebook Legend
A new button at the bottom right hand corner of the gradebook displays a legend that defines the different icons in use.
Additional Changes
By default an Exam or Project Personal Assignment will automatically transfer the result to the class gradebook (if available).
The question and task picker now defaults to textbook instead of module.
The question and task selection module filter now includes an objective type option. This is to support new objective type filtering in a future release.
Bug Fixes and Project Improvements
SIMpath Lesson Deletion
Deleting a SIMpath lesson result only deletes the lesson result instead of both the Pre-Test and the Lesson result.
Detection of Copied Elements
SIMnet now has the ability to detect if a student has copied elements of a document from another student’s file and pasted them into their file. This is in addition to detecting if a student submits another student’s file for grading. Details about the copied elements are available in the Academic Integrity Violation Report. This feature is now available for Skills Word 2013 and IP Word 2013 projects.

Access 2013 Capstone – Level 3, Working with a Sales Database – Improved feedback for date formats.
Fixed grading errors that were occurring when query names contained single quotes.
Improved feedback for missing controls in reports and forms to display the source table as well as the source field name.

Added new acceptable formulas and improved solution images for the following projects:
