# New Projects for Office 2016 for Mac

This is the first update to Office for Mac since 2011. Now you’ll have the latest upgrades to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (also Outlook and OneNote).

### How can I tell if I have Office 2016 for Mac?

To check your office version, open **Word**, **Excel**, or **PowerPoint**. To see your version, choose the **Word** menu and click **About** **Word**; the **Excel** menu and click **About** **Excel**; or the **PowerPoint** menu and click **About** **PowerPoint**. If the number after the word Version is greater than or equal to 15, you have successfully installed Office 2016 for Mac. If the number after the word Version is less than 15, you are using Office 2011 for Mac.
