Students are beginning to come to class with Microsoft Office 2016 installed on their Macs and PCs. SIMnet is currently hard at work creating new educational content for Microsoft Office 2016. The good news: right now, students with the newest version of Office can work seamlessly with SIMnet for Office 2013.
If your students are unsure whether or not they are using Office 2016, the Best Practices document, available in SIMnet Instant Help and at the beginning of each project, outlines the best way to tell which software they are using.
Microsoft Office 2016 Projects on PC for Office 2013
Every 2013 project will work with Office 2016 on PC. A limited number of projects, like Word 2013 In Practice Guided Project 1-2 or Word 2013 A Skills Approach Challenge Yourself 7.3 have extra instructions where menu names have changed or small changes like theme names require a different selection. If a student with Office 2016 follows these notes they can get every project 100% correct.
