# SIMnet system is available as of 6:10 PM EDT

The SIMnet system is fully available again.

The system outage was caused by a distributed denial of service attack — a malicious and deliberate attempt to disrupt the system. During the attack, the system was unavailable, but no user information or data were compromised.
