## **New/Improved Grading Features**

#### **Excel**

SIMnet can now detect if a student has copied elements from another student’s file. This is in addition to detecting if a student submits another student’s file for grading. Details about copied elements detection is available in the Academic Integrity Violation Report.

## **Project Improvements and Bug Fixes**

#### **Access**

The following project start files were updated fixing an error received when opening using Access 2013:

Skills Approach 2013 – Skill Review 1.1 – corrected *absolute* from *relative* under Figure 1.42

Skills Approach 2013 – Fix It 4.6 – Increased the variance allowed for grading row heights

Skills Approach 2013 – Challenge Yourself 7.4 (Mac Supported) – Fixed data label format grading when formatting is applied to all data labels rather than individual data labels

Skills Approach 2013 – Challenge Yourself 8.4 (Mac Supported) – Improved grading of scenarios

In Practice 2013 – Independent Project 1-6 – Limited freeze pane grading function to only check for the existence of a freeze pane on a worksheet

#### **PowerPoint**

In the SIMnet Course Manager, the title in 2013 Capstone Levels 1, 2, and 3 were changed from *Creating a Sales Presentation* to *Creating a Company’s Presentation*

In Practice 2013 – Guided Project 2-3 – Improved grading of chart data label position and formatting

#### **Word**

In Practice 2013 – Guided Project 2-2 – Improved feedback for grading tabs

In Practice 2013 –Independent Project 5-6b (Mac Supported) – Added a note to the project instructions regarding saving the file if an error message occurs

In Practice 2013 – Independent Project 10-6 (Mac Supported) – Revised Mac instructions for inserting text box form controls

In the SIMnet Course Manager, the Excel 2013 Capstone title was changed from *Writing a Research Paper* to *Formatting a Document*
