SIMnet has been updated to reflect Microsoft’s January 9 Office 365 Semi-Annual channel update. For more information on the update,visit our previous blog post.

Microsoft updated the following features slightly with updated color or style names. Where appropriate, SIMbook learning content, simulated exam question hints, and autograded Project instructions been updated to reflect the new names.

  • SmartArt colors

  • WordArt names

In general, SIMnet’s Office simulation was updated to match the following changes to the Office interface. Where appropriate, SIMbook learning content, simulated exam question hints, and autograded Project instructions were updated as well.

  • Insert tab, Illustrations group > Icons button (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • References tab, Research group (new group) (Word)

  • View tab, Page Movement group(new group) (Word)

  • Spelling task pane >Ignorebutton changed toIgnore Once(Word)

  • Grammar task pane >Ignorebutton changed toIgnore Once(Word)

  • Insert tab, Charts group > Maps button (Excel)

  • Data tab, Get & Transform Data group (new group) (Excel)

  • Data tab, Queries & Connections group (new group) (Excel)

  • Insert tab, Links group > Summary Zoom button (PowerPoint)

The following feature updates have been made to SIMbook learning materials (including Show Me, Guide Me, and Let Me Try exercises), simulated exam questions, and autograded Projects.
